2020 Dodge Charger GT Gets AWD and Packs In A Solid Punch

Driving the RWD cars in regions coping with cold climate and snowy roads is not exactly a pleasant experience. Dodge so far sold the Charger sedan in the RWD setup, and AWD was offered as an optional upgrade on the model. However, that has changed for good! The new 2020 Charger GT gets AWD as standard.

The model joins siblings Challenger SXT and Charger SXT AWD. The new AWD variant of 2020 Charger GT gets some “performance” exterior touches, including an aggressive front bumper, hood scoop, more full fenders, etc. It looks a tad more mean and muscular now-for sure. FCA says, on its part, the new vehicle blends style with practicality.

While the inclusion of AWD in the 2020 Dodge Charger GT is undoubtedly a piece of good news, the performance seeking lot may be disappointed by the omission of a V-8 engine. However, that does not mean the car is a slouch. The vehicle is equipped with a reasonably powerful 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 unit under the hood, and that makes 300 HP. A sport mode is as there for fast acceleration when it is required.

The AWD system may be used as always on or activated when needed –thanks to the deployment of an active transfer case. The engine is offered with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, and mileage is good though not stellar. The Vehicle Dynamic Control ensures the car stays stable on all terrains, and the snowy roads cannot pose problems for grip.

The 2020 Dodge Charger GT also gets some feature enhancements. It comes with satin carbon all-season wheels, LED fog lamps, Projector LED fog lamps, backup camera, and rear park assist. The car also gets electronic stability control. Even the interior of the vehicle also looks sleek with the performance steering wheel, and elegant upholstery.

The Uconnect infotainment system of FCA is there, and you get a large 8.4-inch touch screen unit. The 2020 Dodge Charger GT price begins at $36490, and it is expected to reach the showrooms early in 2020.
